That is the only explanation I have for the way the wait staff and cooks were interacting on this day.
I sat at the bar. People how had been there for at least ten minutes before me just received their food when I did. And that was a wait.
My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, but I watched them sit on the counter for 10 minutes.
My raisin toast was cooked one piece at a time.
I should have sent the eggs back. Nothing is usually worse than cold eggs.
The wait staff was friendly. The place was trashed when I first arrived, but they caught up on the bussing while I sat there.
Oh. Almost forgot the splash zone. Spot in the bar where they clean dishes. I was sprayed a number of times. The staff ignored he fact that it happened.
I must have been in a give me my food kind of day.
We had stopped at this Waffle House after a long day of traveling and attending a family member's wake. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to get our drink order and another 10 minutes to actually get the drinks. We placed our order and waited 45 minutes for our food (they were not that busy). The hash browns were burned on one side, my pattimelt was on smashed Texas toast not wheat toast as requested and I do not believe the cook could have possibly put any more butter on it. One of the worst experiences we've ever had at a Waffle House. We will never eat here again. Oh and it's bad when customers that came in after you get their food before you, but they were regulars.
waitress was rude didnt get the food right ordered a sausage biscuit and only got pickles for the biscuit served a guest who walked in 2 minutes after us before serving us
The service was fast and the check was cheap. My only problem was that I ordered a coffee to go and they gave it to me with the lid off. The hot coffee got all over my hand and wrist. I was only given napkins to wash off the coffee with and no ice. As an EMT by trade we are always tought to put burns under cold water. I wasn't offered cold water or ice. That would have been helpful
Honestly, I have to say that as a fellow New Yorker- it is certainly not what I expected a bacon egg and cheese to taste like. Though they serve you quickly, I cannot stand the food. Clearly there needs to be some revamping of the recipes. Yes it is my first time at a Waffle House and no I will not be going back.
